Powered Up: An Energy Leadership Workshop for Teams
Give your team what thousands of leaders worldwide have already discovered: a research-backed way to see how they really show up at work, under pressure and in everyday moments — and a concrete plan to lead with more intention, together.
The Energy Leadership Index® (ELI) is a research-backed assessment used by executives, teams, and organizations worldwide
(ELI) — recommended by the Forbes Coaches Council as one of the top assessments any leader should take. Unlike personality tools like Myers-Briggs or DiSC, the ELI doesn’t measure who you are — it measures how you currently show up: your default reactions under pressure, your energy in everyday moments, and the lens through which you see challenges, people, and opportunities.
- Every leader operates from one of 7 levels of energy — from feeling stuck and reactive, all the way up to fully intentional, creative, and connected leadership.
- The first two levels drain energy and create stress for the leader and everyone around them. The upper levels build energy, trust, and momentum.
- None of us live at one level all day — we move through several, especially under stress.
- The goal isn’t to “be at the top” all the time; it’s to become aware and at choice, instead of running on autopilot.
- This shows up directly in team dynamics: how conflict gets handled, how decisions get made, how much people trust each other, and how much discretionary effort people bring to their work.
How the Leadership Workshop Works for Your Team
1-Hour Intro Session: Best for Individual ELI assessments, Introduction of Energy Leadership Index framework with light group discussion
✔ Each participant takes their own Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment in advance — a quick, individual online questionnaire.
✔ I then facilitate a live workshop with your team (in person or virtual), walking the group through the 7 Levels of Energy Leadership Framework together.
✔ Participants explore their own results individually, then in pairs or small groups, then bring insights back to the full team — building both personal awareness and shared team language.
✔ For the extended workshops, we close with individual and team action plans — not just insight, but next steps people actually use.
✔ Group size: Ideal for teams of 15–20 (smaller and larger groups can be accommodated — ask about options)
✔ Length: Flexible from 1 to 4 hours, depending on group size and how deep you want to go
✔ Format: Available in person or virtual
2-3 Hour Session: Individual ELI assessments, Full Energy Leadership Index framework walkthrough + individual, pair, and group exploration + team/individual action planning
4 Hour Session: Everything from the first two session options, plus deeper team-dynamics work, case studies, and a facilitated team energy plan
What’s Included:
✔ 1 Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment per participant
✔ Live facilitated workshop (1–4 hours, tailored to your team’s goals)
✔ Workbook or reflection guide for each participant
✔ Individual insights and a team-level energy map/discussion
✔ Individual action plan for each participant
✔ A shared team action plan or set of team agreements
✔ (Optional add-on) A follow-up session for accountability and check-in on action plans

up under pressure

managers or other professionals

training — they want a working session that produces real self-
awareness and a real plan
This isn’t a personality test. It’s not about labeling people as introverts or extroverts, or sorting them into four colors. It’s about how each person on your team currently shows up — under normal conditions and under stress — and what that means for how they lead, decide, and communicate.
Workshop Team Outcomes
Every leader in the room walks out with a personal roadmap and your team walks out with a shared way of talking about how you work together. That’s not a one-day feeling — it’s a framework your team can keep using long after the workshop ends
For individual leaders, they’ll walk away with: - A clear, personalized picture of how they currently lead under normal conditions and under stress - A practical way to recognize when they’ve shifted into a reactive, energy-draining state — in the moment, not after the fact - A specific, doable action plan they can start using immediately - Language to describe what’s happening for them internally, instead of defaulting to blame, burnout, or shutting down
For the team as a whole, they’ll walk away with: - A shared vocabulary for talking about stress, conflict, and energy — without it feeling personal or accusatory - Real insight into how energy shows up differently across the team, and why that matters for collaboration - Greater psychological safety: it’s easier to say “I’m in Level 2 right now” than to explain a bad mood - A concrete, team-built action plan or set of working agreements they leave the room with
For the organization, this translates to: - Fewer unresolved conflicts escalating into performance or retention issues - More sustainable performance — leaders operating from intention rather than burnout - A leadership team with a common framework for feedback and self-reflection going forward - A repeatable, measurable starting point — the ELI can be re-taken later to show real movement
The Shift This Workshop Creates in Your Team
Every team carries some version of these pressures — shifting priorities, competing deadlines, unresolved conflict, people quietly burning out while still “getting it done.” This section makes that tension visible, and shows the shift this workshop is built to create in a single day.
From This
Conflict gets avoided, buried, or explodes in the moment
People stay quiet in meetings, so good ideas never surface
High performers over-give until they burn out or quietly check out
The team reacts to shifting deadlines or strategy with frustration and finger-pointing
Leaders default to whatever their stress response happens to be that da
“That’s just how so-and-so is” becomes an accepted excuse
Meetings feel polite on the surface, tense underneath
To This
Conflict gets named early and worked through with intention
They recognize the pattern early and protect their capacity before it costs them
The team has a shared way to process change without spiraling into blame
The team has a common language instead of writing people off
Change and uncertainty create anxiety and shutdown
People have language to name what’s happening and speak up
Leaders catch themselves in the moment and choose their response with intention
Real trust: people can say what’s true without it feeling personal
Change becomes something the team can meet with curiosity
None of this requires a personality overhaul. It requires awareness — of what’s actually happening beneath the surface — and a real plan to do something about it. That’s what this workshop delivers.
